Getting with the right program in the Internet Marketing arena is essential in becoming successful in this business.  So how do you know which program is the one that you should be associated with?

There are  thousands of Internet Marketing Programs online that you could choose from.  But, most likely, not many do enough  research to know which company they should be joining with before they sign up as an affiliate, and most won’t  join more than one program.

However, being a skeptic, I decided that I would join two programs.  Thinking that whatever information one program was holding back from me,  I could pick up that valuable information from the other program!

I quickly found out that there was a substantial difference between the two Internet Marketing Programs I joined and getting in the right program does make a difference.

I was sent a manual that was basically filled with  random, non-essential information.  Aside from advertising, it did not expound upon any in-depth  Internet marketing techniques.

The different tools used in Internet marketing were briefly touched upon but again the most intent instruction was about advertising.  There are a few, very short online tutorials you can retrieve, but again, not very informative.

I was instructed to call a company representative to find out about the different options I could choose to get my business going.  At this point, I was advised that my only option was  to make an additional investment into my business.  In my case, the company  wanted $7,000 more, and this was for more advertising!

In addition they gave me two web sites that would link back to their company and if I wanted my own web site I would have to pay the company an additional $19.95 a month.

The Rep also informed me that his company would sign me up as an affiliate with E-bay, Amazon and a hundred different companies. Therefore, if someone landed on my site and linked to one of these companies, I would get a small commission.

The guarantee that they boldly advertised is only good if I advertised once a month for an entire year, using one of their methods that they have suggested.  Be sure to read the fine print!

On the other hand, the other company that I joined is the complete opposite from the one I discussed above.  In my next blog I will explain the advantages of getting with the right program.  And as usual, I welcome your input or anything that you would like to add.
